Humira Injection #2
Well, I got to use the automatic pen. And I realized I actually prefer the syringe but I’m too lazy to do anything about this so I’ll keep using the pen.
I was tapered down to 80 mg (two pens) for my second injection and by my third one I’ll be down to 40 mg every two weeks.
I was starting to feel abdominal pain, cramping and bloating by the end of the two week period so I was really looking forward to my second dose. I figure I’ll really discover whether or not it’s working in the next few days (although I’m like 99% sure it is since my perianal fistula is basically gone).
Once again it was kind of scary and I hesitated over the first shot. My left thigh went perfectly but when I did my right leg I positioned myself so awkwardly and gave myself a bit of a swollen bruise. It’s minor; doesn’t even qualify as an injection site reaction.
Summary: things are looking pretty good right now.
